MISSION 5: Severnaya
5.ii - Bunker

Purple S indicates starting point
Red dot = stationary guard
Red dot with black X = patrolling guard
Black dots show approximate path of patrol
Arrows indicate direction of patrol
Straight lines indicate that a patrol is back and forth, rather than in a circuit

  • In order to make up time (important only in one mission, but it sometimes seems to take forever to start), hit the Start button during the opening film and then again when the POV zooms up to Bond to get inside his head.
  • Guards cannot see over railings or short walls, even though you can see them.
  • Guards generally take a moment to "set" - move their firearm from carrying position to firing position. This is the best time to kill them.
  • Always use Auto-Aim unless you have time to manually aim. (As far as this site goes, you should only aim manually when I specifically say to aim at something or if I say to shoot someone or something in a specific place. For instance, if I tell you to shoot someone in the head, you will need to manually aim. Otherwise, use Auto-Aim - that's what it's there for!)
  • Never rely on your Auto-Aim for up and down stairways, ladders, etc.
  • Never engage the enemy in a face-to-face gunfight. Get around a corner and wait for them to come to you. Pick them off as they round the corner and attempt to set.
  • The KF7 is your most handy gun, although it is loud. A tip: when aiming, a quick tap on the trigger will fire one bullet. This is usually sufficient to dispatch a guard shot in the head and generally does not attract the attention of other guards. When using Auto-Aim, a quick tap on the trigger will fire three bullets. This is usually sufficient to dispatch a guard shot in the chest (where Auto-Aim generally aims) and, when used inside rooms or far away from other guards, does not attract their attention the way a huge outburst of gunfire would. It also conserves ammo!
  • Don't switch guns until I tell you to!
  • Reload often - after every bad guy if possible.
  • Unless otherwise specified, always take your time! This walk-through is to get you finished the game, not to achieve the cheats. Speed is not necessary and, in most cases, will get you killed.

This is fun, but not necessarily easy. Please note that if you make a lot of noise you will alert an endless supply of guards. In the words of Elmer Fudd, "Be vewy vewy quiet."

Natalya is in the cell next to yours, but do not let her out until you've cleared the place. Switch to your Watch Magnet and step to the bars across from the key (marked with an X). Hit the trigger and, as soon as you have the key, side-step to the door, open it and step out one step then quickly back into the cell. This will stop the guard patrolling outside your cell. He will set and will not move until you leave the cell. Don't leave the cell. Switch to the Throwing Knives (you should have picked them up when you stepped outside the cell - the other X). Aim at the guard's chest (you'll miss his head) and hold the trigger down for a second or two. Then let him have it. He should die with the first or second knife (wouldn't you?). Let him get adjusted again. He cannot shoot through the bars, so you are safe. Once he's dead, leave.

Go out and grab his gun and the key. Switch to the KF7. Go to the doors and get your aimer ready. You only have ten bullets, so make 'em count. In case my crude drawings are too unintelligible, there are four guards who pass by your window on patrol. This takes a lot of patience, but wait for them (they have quite a route to patrol). Try to get them as soon as they turn the corner and definitely before they open either door. Use only one bullet per guard otherwise you will run out of ammo. Once you've killed each of the patrols, go out and collect their guns. There should also be a key card for the door in front of you. Don't open them!

Go to #1 and look in the windows. Familiarize yourself with this area because ya gotta be quick. Here's what you're gonna do: Go open the doors to the cell block, then run back to #1, shoot a guard in the head, then run back to the cell block doors and get through them before they close (they close fast). Run all the way back to your cell, get in and shut the door. The guards will come after you, probably, but they can't shoot through the bars, so take your shots. They will come in and shoot you, so make your bullets count. You're sorta isolated in the cell block, but you still don't wanna make too much noise. If they don't come, they will be standing outside the doors to the cell-block area. Shoot one thru the window, then kill the other when he opens the door. Now go back to that room that they were in. It should be empty of guards, but just in case, check to your right as soon as you go in as there might some shmuck there picking his nose.

The guard who was standing at the computer had a safe key. Find it. Collect the guns. Somewhere along the lines you are going to pick up double Klobbs. I know it's tempting, but don't use them - they are a useless weapon. Stick to the KF7 for now. Make friends with this room, as you will be here a lot.

Go out to #2. If you see a patrol walking away from you, line him up and shoot him in the head. There are four more guards patrolling this area, so be cautious of anyone coming up on your right while you are aiming. If you get a guard's attention, hustle back to the room at #1, get inside and shut the door. Stand in the position of the guard who was there - off to the side of the doors - and wait for the guard to come after you. When he steps in, give him three shots. If he doesn't come, he may be waiting outside the doors or just around the corner. Try to get him once in the head. If he sees you, get back in the room. Letting off bursts of machine gun fire in the halls is suicidal.

Do this for all four guards (one of them has a keycard, so be on the lookout when collecting their guns), then go to #3 and peek in the window. Pick off the guard behind the table and run back to the room at #1 to wait for the other guard. Again, you may have to track him down. Be careful! Go back to the room at #3 and get the document from the table.

Go out to #4 and then look up. There's a turret gun up there. It can't see you yet, but once you start shooting it, it will begin to turn. Kill it before it kills you. Use your aim with quick single bursts to keep the noise down. Continue on to #5 where, positioned properly, you should be able to see the turret gun at the end of the hall. Shoot it nicely - don't worry, it can't see you at all. Step out to #6 and peer into the alcove to your right. Another turret gun that cannot see you at all. Take your time and kill it good.

Step to the end of the hall and sneak around the corner. You should be able to kill the first guard without him seeing you. Then ready yourself for the next guard to come out. Now go all the way back - don't keep going in the same direction. Go to #7 and peek around the corner. There is a guard underneath a camera. Take aim at the guard's head and kill him. If you are anything like me, he will see you at exactly the moment you are ready to fire. Step back and wait for him, then give him three as he comes around the corner. Now peek around again and take out the camera with a shot to the lens (tricky, but possible).

Go to #8, peer through the window and pick off that guard in the head. Now look left and take out the camera. Go in and collect the safe key and the gun. Now scurry back to the room at #1 and open the safe that's in there. Inside you will find a dossier and TWO SILENCED PP7s!!! WooHoo!!!

Switch to the double Silenced PP7s and go to #9. Take out the camera inside the same way as before. Now go inside and open the door at #10, but don't go in. Instead, hold down the bottom C button to look up and walk in slowly. You will see a camera way up there. Let go of the C button and shoot the camera in the lens. Use the top C button to adjust yourself and then enter the next door.Every once in a while there are two guards here. If that's the case, panic and shoot wildly. Likely there will be only one, and he has his back to you. Shoot him in the head. Grab the GoldenEye video off the table (no, seriously, check it out in the Pause | Items screen - it's the VHS cover!)

Exit through the door on your left and go right, to #11. Be careful at the stairs. Remember that Auto-Aim doesn't play well with stairs. There are two guards patrolling this area. If they see you they will come after you. Let them. Back up and shoot them as they round the corner. There is also a guard on either side of the stairs. Give the guy on the right a shot in the arm/hand/gun - whatever's sticking out. They'll both come to you and you can take 'em out.

Make sure you have killed the two patrolling guards, then go to the bottom of the stairs, face left and side-step out in front of that camera. You will have about four seconds to kill the camera before the alarms start ringin'! One of the patrolling guards had a keycard - go look for it if you didn't already pick it up, then go to #12. Look through the windows - the guard you will see (purple X) is carrying the clipboard. This stunt is going to be even quicker than the cell block stunt. Open the doors behind you, shoot the guy with the clipboard, then dash out and around the corner. You have to do this fast because the doors shut fast.

They will either come after you and get shot as they round the corner or they will get confused and stand around at #12. If the latter is the case, go ahead and shoot their heads through the glass. As many as you can, then get 'em good when they open the doors. Now go inside and retrieve the clipboard.

Stay in the area of the #13 as you cross this room. The alcoves are prime guard regenerators, so if you don't kill these guys outright, they'll keep coming. I know I've preached about getting around a corner and hiding in the alcoves looks good, but you can't fight them off when they are endless. Stay on the other side of the room and shoot 'em as you pass their alcoves (side-stepping is good here).

As you exit, be careful that no guard got lost at this end. Go back up the stairs and then on to #14. As you come around the corner you will see two guards at the other side of the room. You can either take it slow and peek around the corner and take one out or just let them see you and have them come to you.

Now look across the room and you will see two guards in that other little alcove. Shoot one in the head and they will come for you. Wait them out and gun 'em down. Go to #15 and shoot the guy at the far end. The others will come - you know what to do.

Go to #16 and kill the camera from there. Turn around and open those doors. If you can't, you don't have the keycard - go look for it. It's very likely that you do have it, though, so go and get Natalya and then leave. You don't have to wait for her at all. Exit at #17.

    MISSION 6.i - Statue Park

You must finish this mission on the Agent level in 1:30 or less.

Quickly now: Watch Magnet, get key, switch to hand, exit cell, smack the guard dead, free Natalya, switch to KF7 and go. Out the doors, hang a left. Shoot any guards and hope you get a keycard. Up the stairs at #2 and through the doors past #3. Hang a right at #7 and go in the doors at #9, then through #10. Keep going, kill the guard, grab the tape and leave through the other doors (the ones you didn't come in by). Now just go go go until you exit at #17.

For reference, my best time is :52. No, I don't wanna hear how fast you made it!

Whaddaya get for it? Double Throwing Knives (Mission only).
