Purple S indicates starting point
Red dot = stationary guard
Red dot with black X = patrolling guard
Black dots show approximate path of patrol
Arrows indicate direction of patrol
Straight lines indicate that a patrol is back and forth, rather than in a circuit

  • In order to make up time (important only in one mission, but it sometimes seems to take forever to start), hit the Start button during the opening film and then again when the POV zooms up to Bond to get inside his head.
  • Guards cannot see over railings or short walls, even though you can see them.
  • Guards generally take a moment to "set" - move their firearm from carrying position to firing position. This is the best time to kill them.
  • Always use Auto-Aim unless you have time to manually aim. (As far as this site goes, you should only aim manually when I specifically say to aim at something or if I say to shoot someone or something in a specific place. For instance, if I tell you to shoot someone in the head, you will need to manually aim. Otherwise, use Auto-Aim - that's what it's there for!)
  • Never rely on your Auto-Aim for up and down stairways, ladders, etc.
  • Never engage the enemy in a face-to-face gunfight. Get around a corner and wait for them to come to you. Pick them off as they round the corner and attempt to set.
  • The KF7 is your most handy gun, although it is loud. A tip: when aiming, a quick tap on the trigger will fire one bullet. This is usually sufficient to dispatch a guard shot in the head and generally does not attract the attention of other guards. When using Auto-Aim, a quick tap on the trigger will fire three bullets. This is usually sufficient to dispatch a guard shot in the chest (where Auto-Aim generally aims) and, when used inside rooms or far away from other guards, does not attract their attention the way a huge outburst of gunfire would. It also conserves ammo!
  • Don't switch guns until I tell you to!
  • Reload often - after every bad guy if possible.
  • Unless otherwise specified, always take your time! This walk-through is to get you finished the game, not to achieve the cheats. Speed is not necessary and, in most cases, will get you killed.

This can be easy or difficult. It all depends on if Trevelyan co-operates and kills himself. If he doesn't, you'll have to start again or muddle through on your own. It's just too time (and life) consuming to do it the hard way. You may say this is cheating but guess what? If it's in the game, it ain't cheating! Oh, and don't take your time: the guards are endless and extremely hard to kill.

From the start, go backwards (don't turn around, just back up) and side-step left and keep going back until you get the Body Armor, then go forward and up the ramp. Watch your gun as it will jump to Auto-Aim before you are likely to see the guard coming down the ramp towards you. Kill him. He may have had one or two ZMGs. Pick 'em up and switch to them. If you only get one, you will probably get to pick up two from the next guard you kill. When you have two ZMGs, arm two.

Continue up the ramp and go right. There is another guard here to kill. Go down the ramp at #1. Keep going down the stairs at the bottom here. As you get to the turn in the stairs, a guard will probably come up to you. Kill him.

Go to the right, around the large pillar and across to #2. There is a small outcropping in the deck. Park it there and take out the drone gun. Now go straight over to #3 and wait there. Kill any guard who comes out of the door or down the stairs. Wait for at least 30 seconds. Trevelyan, who is in that shack, will drop a grenade and forget to run away, thereby killing himself. The screen will tell you Objective B completed. Now go inside and kill the other drone gun, then get under it and kill the Control Console.

Run out the back door and down the stairs (marked A) then around to the center of that area (killing guards as you go). Go down the stairs at C and go in the door. Line yourself up with the hole in the floor and walk through. As soon as you start to fall, pull backwards on the joystick and release, otherwise your forward momentum may carry you right off the side.

If Trevelyan doesn't blow himself up, you will have to chase him around, shooting him incessantly. There is no way to tell you where he is going to go next and you will get killed, eventually. If you decide to not start again, there is another Body Armor in the other shack (marked with an X). When he tells you to finish the job (if you miss this message, it'll be when you have searched everywhere and can't find him), go down to the shack at the bottom of the stairs marked C and go inside. He will be in there and will go down the hole. Follow him down and kill him. Of course, his guards will be shooting down the hole and he will be shooting with his AR33, so it's pretty difficult. Stay close to the ladder, otherwise the force of his shots will knock you off.

Now sit back and watch the credits - you're done!

Well, not quite. You're finished the missions, but there are two bonus missions, starting with

    MISSION 8.i - Aztec Complex

You must finish this mission on the Agent level in 2:15 or less.

Well, this is easy. Just follow the instructions above and if Trevelyan doesn't co-operate, start again until he does.

For reference, my best time is 1:26. No, I don't wanna hear how fast you made it!

Whaddaya get for it? Gold PP7 - like the Golden Gun except it holds 7 bullets at a time and fires regular bullets (Mission only). Just for finishing this mission you will get a Cougar Magnum, whether you make the time or not (Mission only).
